Asset Management

In March of 2020, we began phase 1 of our Asset Management with the help of Wright-Pierce Engineering.

In phase one of this project, Wright-Pierce gathered information on our entire system to include dates of installation of our Water Mains, Water Towers, Booster Stations, as well as all of our other assets to assign a value and replacement plan. A water model of the Distribution System was created and a Water Audit conducted. Phase 1 was concluded in February of 2021.

In March of 2021, we began Phase 2 of this Asset Management which is planned to include a hydrant flow test of every hydrant in our system, assist us with our Risk and Resilience and Emergency Response plans (State Required) due this year.

We will be updating this annually as we complete each task and start another, keeping our customers up to date on current projects.

Capital Improvement Plan

CIP - Over the past several years we have been working on a Capital Improvement Plan to identify those areas of our system that need to be upgraded to better serve our customers and plan for the future growth of our Precinct.

We began with our water mains and their ages and sizes to develop a replacement/upgrade schedule.

During this process we quickly realized the we needed to enlist the help of an Engineering Firm as this was turning out to be a much bigger project than first thought to be. Also to help develop a planned schedule for our system as a whole to include our Booster Stations and Water Towers as well. We are working with Wright-Pierce going forward with an Asset Management Plan.
